Former Mohawk Valley DiamondDawg Caleb Thielbar continues his Major League Baseball career as a member of the Chicago Cubs.
The veteran left-handed relief pitcher has been a part of the Cubs’ bullpen during the 2026 season, providing valuable experience and depth out of the bullpen.
Through the 2026 season, Thielbar has recorded a 4.09 ERA with 40 strikeouts and two saves, continuing a professional career that has included multiple seasons at the Major League level.
Thielbar’s journey to the Major Leagues is another example of the talent and determination displayed by players who have worn the DiamondDawgs uniform. His continued success at baseball’s highest level is a tremendous accomplishment and a source of pride for the entire Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs organization.
