LITTLE FALLS, NY — The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs are proud to announce the signing of Nolan Colby, an impact infielder from Fairfield University, for the 2026 season.
Colby made an immediate impression during his freshman campaign, earning MAAC Rookie of the Week honors twice (March 18 and April 1) while appearing in 58 games with 56 starts. He delivered in the biggest moments on the Stags’ postseason run, launching one of the most memorable home runs in program history—a game-winning solo shot in the top of the 10th inning in the MAAC Championship against Rider. He continued to shine on the national stage with a solo homer in the NCAA Regionals against Coastal Carolina and added a key three-run home run in Fairfield’s win over Quinnipiac.
Before Fairfield:
Ranked the top shortstop and No. 5 overall position player in New Hampshire by Perfect Game as well as top 400 shortstop in the nation.
Colby’s combination of clutch performance, high-end offensive ability, and defensive consistency makes him a strong addition to the 2026 DiamondDawgs roster.
