LITTLE FALLS, NY — The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs are excited to announce the signing of Cal McBurney, a freshman right-handed pitcher from Brown University, for the 2026 season.
McBurney, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, is a highly regarded young arm with strong physical presence on the mound at 6’1” and 210 pounds. Perfect Game ranks him as the No. 46 right-handed pitcher in Georgia and the No. 577 RHP nationally, reflecting his status as one of the top developing pitchers in the Southeast.
McBurney features a low-90s fastball complemented by above-average secondary pitches, giving him a well-rounded arsenal and the ability to compete effectively against high-level hitters. His size, velocity, and pitch mix make him an exciting addition to the DiamondDawgs’ 2026 pitching staff.
