June 2, 2024 – The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs faced a devastating defeat, succumbing to the Watertown Rapids in a thrilling extra-inning showdown. The DiamondDawgs led until the bottom of the 10th inning but ultimately fell short, losing 7-6.

“This was a tough loss for us,” said DiamondDawgs’ head coach Steve Luby. “Our players showed great effort and heart throughout the game. It’s always hard to lose in such a close game, especially in extra innings, but we will learn from this and come back stronger.”

The DiamondDawgs will return to action on Monday against the Albany Baseball Club at Veterans Memorial Park in Little Falls.  Fans are encouraged to come out and support the team as they look to rebound from this tough loss and continue their quest for the championship.
