DiamondDawgs Add UAlbany OF John Vitucci to 2026 Roster
The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs are excited to add outfielder John Vitucci from the University at Albany to the 2026 roster. A Staten Island New York native, Vitucci was signed to play for the DiamondDawgs last summer before an early season ending injury at UAlbany cut his 2025 season short.
Prior to the injury, Vitucci appeared in eight games and started seven. In 2024, he appeared in 36 games with 35 starts, batting .268 while posting a .428 on base percentage. He also stole 10 bases, scored 21 runs, and was named America East Rookie of the Week twice.
Now healthy, Vitucci adds athleticism, on base ability, and experience to what is shaping up to be a strong 2026 DiamondDawgs roster.
