LITTLE FALLS, NY — The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs are proud to announce the return of a key member of their pitching staff — 2023 Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL) Pitcher of the Year, Aidan Colagrande.
The dominant left-hander from Stony Brook University will be back on the mound at Veteran’s Memorial Park for the 2025 season.Colagrande emerged as one of the premier arms in the PGCBL during his standout 2023 campaign, showcasing a combination of velocity, command, and poise that made him a dominant force on the mound.
Colagrande was dominant in a unique way in 2023 , becoming the first pitcher to have been used exclusively out of the bullpen to be named the PGCBL Pitcher of the Year. His 14 regular season appearances and six saves were each second most in the league in 2023, and the lefty from Kings Park allowed just five runs (only three earned) across his 34.1 innings pitched. Opponents struggled to a minuscule .139 batting average against Colagrande while the southpaw struck out 58 batters- a number that works out to a monstrous 15.2 Ks per 9.
His return brings a significant boost to a DiamondDawgs roster poised to contend for a championship in 2025.
